Mensagem de Apoio
'Benfica envia mensagem de boa sorte ao Sporting
Como tem sido habitual, desde há algum tempo a esta parte, o Benfica, através do seu presidente de Direcção, enviou hoje uma mensagem de boa sorte ao Sporting, para o encontro desta noite, em Alvalade, para a Taça UEFA.
Na mensagem enviada por Luís Filipe Vieira a Dias da Cunha, pode ler-se: «As maiores felicidades à equipa técnica, jogadores e a todos os elementos do vosso prestigiado clube, no caminho das competições europeias».' (A Bola)
Apesar de achar que se trata de uma tirada sarcástica, da mesma forma que se deseja um irónico ‘boa sorte, sua besta’ a um adversário num jogo de snooker ou de cartas, não quero que restem dúvidas. Por isso decidi, a nível pessoal, enviar um fax de apoio ao Middlesbrough:
’Dear Sirs
I hereby wish you the best of luck for today’s match against that pathetic little reptilian club with the ridiculous shirts. Please do concentrate your efforts in harassing that Hugo fellow (it will pay off, trust me) and do not, in any way, disturb the communication flow between BSUC (the Best Student in the University of Coruche) and the players, as it is your best chance of getting them confused. One last word of advice: do not let the general ‘WC’ design of that poor excuse for a stadium distract you from you purpose. You may find you’re in the middle of a huge bathroom, but let them be the pieces of shit, as usual.
